Children's ministry teachers training
MOZaic equips children’s ministry leaders – from more than 30 cities in rural areas – to reach the children in their communities with the gospel and values for them to grow in life. Seminars are held where the leaders receive biblical knowledge, pedagogical tools and equipment to work with the children.
In 2023 MOZaic embarked a child protection movement to help prevent child – and sexual abuse in Mozambique. The movement received the name Ku Vikela Nwana that means child protection in the Shangaan language.
The main objective is to create a network of true protection, raising awareness among adults and empowering them to protect children. It also aims to build in children a solid identity and teach them how to not be vulnerable to abuse.
Our team works mainly in the field of prevention with training and lectures for children, adolescents, parents, teachers and leaders of children’s ministry.
As part of the movement, we count on a very special tool to teach the children in a playful way: PROTECTION DOLLS. These dolls are used in every teaching to show boys and girls how precious their bodies are. It is also used to show which parts are not allowed to be seen or touched by others. The goal is to reach 5000 CHILDREN per year and give each child a doll. Through this tool, they can memorize teachings, share it with other children and even use it to report any kind of abuse.
YOU CAN BE PART OF REALISING THIS GOAL! Become a volunteer and help us make protection dolls. Download our easy-to-follow pattern and let us know that you will join a network of people who are making a difference in the lives of Mozambican children.
